Good morning, Medford, Wednesday, April 29

Happy Wednesday, everybody. We've got a little scoop for you from the Chamber of Commerce Casino Night, plus a good long list of events, and a fun did-you-know.

I was just proofreading our list of events happening in Medford today, and I was struck by how many different things there are to do. We've got everything from an ultimate Frisbee pickup game at Tufts Park to a Sensory Story Time for neurodiverse children at the library. You can go learn about Medford granite in the Fells or go to a trivia night at the Ford Tavern. There's music and movies and art sessions, city meetings, and tech help. And, perhaps my favorite of the day, the DIY Wormery for kids to learn how to make a habitat for earthworms. How much fun will that be?

Speaking of fun events, yesterday evening, Chris and I attended, and covered, the Medford Chamber of Commerce Casino Night at the Great American Beer Hall. Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn, sporting a long, sequined black and gold dress, was spotted at the blackjack table. Chamber Board Member Domenic Camarra was having a blast at the craps table after talking with Fred and Sonia Moscaritolo of La Cascia's Bakery & Deli. And, Bob Hyldburg, wearing his tricorn hat, had a photo opp with Gene Kalaw of Needham Bank.

The event celebrated the Chamber's centennial and all of Medford's businesses, large and small. It seemed to be just want the Chamber intended, an evening for people to hang out, have fun, and make connections. We will have a photo gallery up today. Stay tuned.

In the meantime, read on for the list of happenings, a did-you-know, and links to recent posts, in case you missed them.
