Mystic Valley Voters Forum to host 34th Middlesex candidates forum
Mystic Valley Voters Forum (MVVF) will host its second candidates forum Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Bonsignore Hall in Medford Public Library from 6 t0 8 p.m.

Mystic Valley Voters Forum (MVVF) will host its second candidates forum Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Bonsignore Hall in Medford Public Library from 6 t0 8 p.m.
This event will feature Democratic candidates of the 34th Middlesex District state representative race, including Somerville City Councilor At-Large Will Mbah, Chris Oates, and Medford School Committee Member Paul Ruseau. The candidates are contending for incumbent Rep. Christine Barber’s seat.
The event will be a moderated, 90-minute, roundtable discussion which will cover five topics: affordability, racial disparity, Palestine in local policies, immigration, and digital security. A public Q&A will follow the roundtable discussion, allowing voters to directly converse with and question the candidates on their platforms or answers.
MVVF is a newly formed coalition of concerned constituents and cosponsoring organizations working together to bring transparency and accountability for public servants in elected office. This forum is cosponsored by the Mystic Valley Branch of the NAACP, Medford for Palestine, Our Revolution Medford, Mystic Mashup Indivisible, and SAFE Medford. You can preregister for the event here.
