Good morning, Medford, Tuesday, August 18
Happy Tuesday, everybody. This is a great day to talk about the arts and two very different exhibits running through the end of this month.
There are two art exhibits running for the month of August that you still have time to catch.
"Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" is the new Arts Medford exhibit showing at Medford Public Library through the 30th. Arts Medford describes it as "A celebration of our 250th and the pieces that bring us life, liberty and challenge us to the pursuit of happiness." The exhibit will be changing over the course of the month, so stop in more than once, if you can.
"Stories with Colors," an exhibit curated by Swati Biswas, is showing at EventThem Studios on Salem Street through the 27th. It features works from artists across India, "spanning states, styles, and stories, complemented by beautiful hand-embroidered and hand-painted fabric." By the way, Biswas is a trained Indian classical and creative dancer, and she will be teaching a dance workshop on August 22 at EventThem.
