Happy Tuesday, Medford. We hope you're having a great morning. Before we get to all the day's happenings, we've got news out of the Police Department.
Congratulations are in order for comings and goings at the Medford Police Department.
MPD announced on Instagram, "Please join us in welcoming our newest officers, Christian Martin and Keesha Fortune, who graduated from the Cambridge-Northeastern Police Academy..."
Officers Martin and Fortune will complete a 12-week field training program, working alongside experienced officers.
Jail Diversion Clinician Rachel Amaral (pictured in the center in the photo below) is leaving the department.
"Rachel joined the Medford Police Department a little over two years ago and quickly became an integral part of our Behavioral Services Unit," MPD posted on Instagram. "She specialized in working with juveniles and was also a trained crisis negotiator. Through her compassion, professionalism, and dedication, she made a lasting impact on both the department and the community we serve. We wish Rachel nothing but the best in her next chapter. She will be greatly missed!"

Reminder: Bunker Hill Day
Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 17, is Bunker Hill Day and City Hall will be closed. If you want to learn more about the Battle of Bunker Hill, the Mass. Historical Society has an online exhibition that includes letters, maps, a timeline, and more.

Carr Park Phase II ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m. to cut the final ribbon on the final phase and open the entire park.
Board of Health meeting at 12:30 p.m. via Zoom. On the agenda: 40 Century St. hearing, community outreach team activities, reportable disease report, recognition presentation.
Drop-in Playtime from 2 to 4 p.m. at Medford Family Network Family Center.
Crochet Club from 6 to 8 p.m. at Medford Public Library for teens in middle school and high school to learn the basics of crocheting or work on an existing project. All skill levels are welcome. Registration required.
