Temps are going into the 60s today. Before you head out to get some sun, we have some heads-ups for you and a list of what's happening across the city.
We have two heads-ups for you this morning, and then we'll get to today's events and activities, plus a did-you-know.
Bloodstained Men protest: If you find yourself at the intersection of Mystic Valley Parkway and the Fellsway between 10 a.m. and noon today, you will likely see the group Bloodstained Men and their friends holding a protest.
On its website, the non-profit organization says it is "dedicated to giving victims of genital cutting a voice and to educating Americans about the harms of infant circumcision and the importance of the foreskin." During their rallies, members dress in all white with a red splash on the crotch of their pants.
The group is coming down the homestretch of a 10-day tour holding rallies in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
MPS After School Program: Tomorrow evening at 6:30 p.m., there will be an information session about the Medford Public Schools 2026-2027 After School Program. It will be held via Zoom.
In her May 1 Friday message, Superintendent Dr. Suzanne Galusi said the meeting will explain operational changes (including an increase in the program's capacity), program registration, and the lottery process. Registration for the lottery will run from Wednesday, May 6, through Monday, May 18.

Happening today in Medford
Street sweeping: Zone 14, you are up for street sweeping today. There is no parking on the affected streets from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Family 3D Printing Workshop at 3:30 p.m. at Medford Public Library for families with children ages 8-12 to learn about the process of 3D printing and then test out the library’s 3D printers to make something of their very own. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration required.

Teen Maker Monday - Personalized Hats from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Medford Public Library. For teens in middle school and high school to make personalized hats using the Cricut Maker to cut iron-on vinyl. All materials will be provided. Register.
STEM Kitchen at 6 p.m. at Medford Public Library for kids ages 8-12 to learn about the different ways science is present in the kitchen while making a yummy snack. Register.
School Committee meeting at 6 p.m. at City Hall, via Zoom, and on TV and streaming channels. The agenda includes approval of bills, payrolls, and budget transfers, reports of subcommittees, Mustang Moment, reports from the superintendent, presentations from the Student Advisory Council, and presentations of the public.
MakerSpace Drop-In from 6 to 8 p.m. at Medford Public Library. For adults and teens 16+.

Did you know?
The Condon Shell is coming out of its winter slumber. Veterans have something planned for Memorial Day for the weekend of May 23-24. The annual Italian festival is scheduled for May 30. And, the Medford Farmers Market starts its summer season on June 4. Things start getting busy at the Shell in June with craft fairs, concerts, archery lessons, and more. Stay tuned.
