Capitol Theatre hosts U.S. premiere of ‘Hope: The Courageous Response in the Face of Adversity’ documentary
On Thursday, June 18, the Capitol Theatre will host the U.S. premiere of the documentary film, “Hope: The Courageous Response in the Face of Adversity.”

On Thursday, June 18, the Capitol Theatre, 204 Massachusetts Ave., Arlington, will host the U.S. premiere of the documentary film, “Hope: The Courageous Response in the Face of Adversity,” with a discussion and Q&A beginning at 7 p.m.
Come to the Capitol Theatre for the exclusive U.S. premiere of the documentary film “Hope,” informing the audience of the causes of the ongoing civil war in South Sudan, as well as a powerful look at the resilience and hopes of refugees who have escaped the conflict to a refugee camp in northern Uganda.

Following the screening, there will be an in-person discussion panel and Q&A session featuring Brian Adeba, who is featured in the film and is Advisor on Sudan and South Sudan for The Sentry - the investigative organization co-founded by George Clooney (who also appears in the film).
The panel will discuss the ongoing humanitarian situation and geopolitical landscape in Sudan and South Sudan, offering insights into the conflict in South Sudan and practical paths to a lasting peace.
Tickets are $15 at the box office. The theatre adds a $1.75 service charge for online purchase.
Ticket proceeds will be donated to organizations supporting South Sudanese refugees and displaced persons.
