Hello, Medford! This is what happens when one leg of our three-legged stool goes missing – we get all off kilter. With Wendall temporarily out of action, Nell and I are trading off the Newsletter duties and I dropped the ball, so this morning's missive is late, but we're going to persevere, nonetheless.

Head to the West Medford Community Center today at 5 p.m. and get creative juices flowing!

Are you looking for something super cool to do today? You need to head to the West Medford Community Center for the Community Mosaic Project and get creative. Led by artist Susan Altman, the community is invited to help create a mosaic celebrating the community center's 90th anniversary. Ninety years, that is amazing!

Did you just say, "I don't have a creative bone in my body?" Blasphemy! Everyone can contribute; anyone can add a tile or voice an idea. Don't sell yourself short. Go, have fun. No artistic skill required. The event runs from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. outside the West Medford Community Center, 111 Arlington St.

There is also a big to do tomorrow night that I'm weirdly looking forward to – the City Council and the Community Development Board will be holding its second public hearing on rezoning the Boston Avenue Corridor.

I'm not sure if you caught the first public hearing last week, but we're thinking it didn't quite go over as planned. Residents in the area, that runs from Whole Foods down towards Ball Square, were not thrilled with the plan that could put some serious sized buildings in their neighborhood.

It's the councils second or third phase in its effort to rezone the city. The party kicks off at 6 p.m. in City Council Chambers in City Hall or on Zoom

The Boston Ave. Corridor rezoning public hearing will be Thursday at
