We've got a shout-out to Medford Police for Community Inclusion Day, a heads-up about street sweeping, and a list of what's happening today in Medford.

Medford should see low 60s and some sun today. We hope you have a chance to get outside and enjoy.

This morning, we are wondering what is up with the overnight lows in the 30s in late April? My little patio container garden is just not happy. I can hear my tulips feebly chanting, "I think I can, I think I can." Like me, they are crusty old New Englanders and will carry on. But, really...

Also this morning, we want to give a little shout-out to the Medford Police Department for hosting Community Inclusion Day on Tuesday. The event welcomed people "with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or developmental and learning disabilities to meet, interact and chat with our city’s first responders and emergency services in a safe and comfortable setting."

Our feature photo, above, shows Medford Police Public Information/Community Outreach Officer Jessica Walsh with Brady at the event. The event, which is funded by the Cummings Foundation, Wegmans, and Doug Flutie, Jr., Foundation for Autism, included touch-a-truck opportunities, a tour of the police station, and food.

You can see more photos on the Medford Police Department Facebook page.
