Prabitha Natarajan. who was born in India and now lives in Medford, has organized an event to bring awareness to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court of India that, she says, will have broad implications for both humans and stray animals.

Natarajan volunteers with the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society and the Mystic River Watershed Association and is a member of the Medford Energy and Environment Committee promoting sustainable life practices. She also founded Feet For Paws, an international animal rescue organization aimed at supporting humane stray population management services in India and Mexico.

The gathering will take place Sunday, August 24, at 8.30am on the Boston Common, but you can also join virtually. Natarajian has organized it through Feet for Paws. To learn more and to sign up, visit: https://www.feetforpaws.org/delhi-ruling
