New mental health practice opens in Medford
Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn will be on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony today at 3 p.m.
A mental health provider has opened a new office in Medford. Clearview Health and Wellness will hold an open house today from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn at 3 p.m.
Clearview, which is at 200 Boston Ave., offers individualized counseling and medication management services. Some of the common diagnoses the practice treats include anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress, schizophrenia, ADHD, and obsessive-compulsive disorders.
Clinical Director Dr. Samantha Ewart said one of the things that sets the practice apart is its ability to place people right away. They accomplish that by hiring new clinicians as referrals come in and by focusing on clinicians’ professional growth and development.
“We have this strategy of hiring folks and building caseloads,” Ewart said. “It happens in tandem, and so it really affords us this opportunity to have little, to no, waitlist.”
When someone calls in, she said, they could be placed with a provider by the end of the day.
“We work really hard to not turn folks away who are needing the outpatient level of care setting,” Ewart said.

Clearview provides services to people of all ages, from age 5 and up, and several different languages are spoken here. In addition to English, there are staff who speak Spanish, Portuguese, and Nepali.
“We are always thinking about equity and access to care,” Ewart said. “We are always thinking about how are we serving the community, serving our clinicians as well, and ensuring so that we are meeting people where they’re at and providing folks what they need.”
“We are really focused on, and I can’t stress this enough, serving the community,” she said. “We serve really a gamut of needs.”
