The Election Commission is meeting tonight at City Hall to certify the primary results and to prepare for the Nov. 3 election. They'll be talking about in-person early voting, vote-by-mail and absentee ballot operations, and ballot and election equipment testing. For anyone interested in how elections are run, and the issue of if/how changes proposed by the federal government might affect local elections, this would be a good meeting to attend.
On a completely different note, our feature photo this morning is of a poster (one of a set of six) created by Medford High School students for a branding campaign the district has launched for the 2026-2027 school year.
The campaign is called "Belonging Through," and MHS students Violet Baxter, Ella Cushing, and Adam Tomosulo designed the posters to be distributed to staff members and to classrooms.
Superintendent Dr. Suzanne Galusi wrote about the project in her Sept. 11 Friday message, "Each poster represents examples of how students belong in academic spaces, with one blank poster enabling classes to define it on their own."

Medford Square Runners meet at 6:45 a.m. in front of Donuts with a Difference for a 5-6-mile run. This is a zero-drop run, meaning the group runs for a little bit and then stops to let everybody catch up if necessary. Group asks that all runners are able to keep a minimum pace of 10 minutes per mile.
