In honor of Wildlife Wednesdays – we just created that on the fly a little before midnight as we were finishing the newsletter – we're talking about ligers. The Chevalier Theatre hosted its Liger Drawing Contest during Saturday's Oktoberfest. A video they posted to social media called "A liger is pretty much our favorite animal" includes snapshots of many of the drawings, plus this note, "Thank you to all the talented artists who visited our table and tried their hand at drawing a liger!"
We grabbed a couple screenshots to give those who are not on social media a sense of the imagination the kids brought to their work.

Now that we're talking about it, let's make Wildlife Wednesdays official. Do you have an interesting pet? Have you taken photos of wildlife around Medford? We would be happy to give you a spot in the Wednesday newsletter. Send your photo to GottaKnowMedford@gmail.com along with your name and a phone number, in case we have any questions.
