Yesterday, we learned that Medford Police Chief Jack Buckley will retire at the end of this year. Buckley had taken a five-month medical leave in 2025 and returned to duty in November. He was with the department for 28 years. We at GKM wish Chief Buckley and his family all the best in his retirement.

Also, yesterday was a busy day for GKM as we verified and posted election-related content, including opinion pieces and news about endorsements. And, we changed to a new template for our website. Please bear with us as we work out the kinks.

And, another thing: Yesterday, we started looking into the ramifications of the Supreme Court's ruling allowing the Trump administration to move forward with its restrictions on mail-in voting. Stay tuned as we find out if/how that will affect voting in Medford.

Now, on to the events and activities for today.
