Good morning, Medford, Tuesday, March 17
Top o' the mornin' to you, Medford! We have lots to fill you in on today, including Citizen of the Year nominations, some fun events, and a collection of photos that give you a peek into a devastating time in our nation's history.
We’re hearing that spring peepers are calling from wetlands in parts of Massachusetts. The weather has certainly been favorable, with lots of rain and mild temperatures. Let us know if you hear them near where you live or work in Medford. We might get cooler temperatures at night this week, which could cause the peepers to go quiet, but they are cold-adapted and will just hang out until things warm up again. So keep your ears peeled.
In the meantime, do you know someone who lives or works in Medford and has had a big impact on the city? The Medford Chamber of Commerce wants to hear from you.
The Chamber is looking for nominations for the Citizen of the Year (COTY) Award: “The COTY exemplifies leadership, generosity, and a deep dedication to making Medford a better place.”
Your nominee must live or work in Medford. You can only submit one nomination, and you must fill out the form by April 2. The following are not eligible for the COTY award: clergy, elected officials, and current Medford Chamber of Commerce Board members.
