We've got everything from high school sports to city-sponsored events to community fundraisers, music, spirituality gatherings, outdoor educational opportunities, activities for kids, and more. You name it!

Circle Time Story Time at 9:30 a.m. at Medford Public Library with Medford Family Network for children up to 2 years old and their caregivers. Registration required.
Outdoor Play with Miss Cindy from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Magoun Park with Medford Family Network. Event open to all ages includes parent/child interactive activities, including circle time, problem solving activities, and games.
Circle time Story Time at 11 a.m. at Medford Public Library with Medford Family Network for children ages 2-5 and their caregivers. Registration required.

Humanist Community at Tufts weekly discussion from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Goddard Chapel at Tufts. All are welcome.
Cake Pops at 3:30 p.m. at Medford Public Library for teens in middle school and high school to learn how to make cake pops. Registration is required.
MakerSpace Drop-In from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Medford Public Library for adults and teens age 16+ to work on personal projects or ask the in-house expert about how to use the space and equipment.
Go Mustangs! Home games: freshman girls volleyball vs. Bishop Fenwick; freshman boys soccer vs. Malden High. Away games: JV and varsity girls volleyball teams at Bishop Fenwick; varsity boys football at Somerville High.
"Ghost Light" exhibition opening reception at Arts Collaborative Medford. The opening reception will take place in two sessions, one beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the other at 7:45 p.m. Registration for a specific time slot is required.
Sparta and Public Opinion perform beginning at 7 p.m. at Deep Cuts.
Halfway to St. Patrick's Day all day at Mrs. Murphy's. This is the second day of a four-day celebration. Fred Ellsworth performs classic rock with a country soul from 8 to 11 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 19
Family Bird Walk at 7:30 a.m. with Brookline Bird Club. Sign up through Medford Public Library and meet at the Condon Shell parking lot. The walk will be ADA-accessible and stroller friendly.
Tufts Park mini-forest planting from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. under the direction of Trees Medford. To volunteer, follow the link and sign up for a time slot.
Paddle Boston – Medford from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at the Condon Shell, weather permitting. Last boat goes out at 5:30 p.m. All boats must be returned by 6:30 p.m.
Spanish Fun Language Class at 9 a.m. at Medford Public Library for all levels of learners to build practical skills through everyday vocabulary and activities. This is the second session in a series of five. If you have not signed up for the series, you can do so through the Sept. 12 listing.
Drop In Coding from 9 to 11 a.m. at Medford Public Library for kids ages 8-12 to use Scratch to start a new project or continue working on a current one. All skill levels are welcome. Yoga Story Time with Ava Dussault at 10 a.m. at Medford Public Library for children ages 3-7. There will be a story, some gentle yoga poses, and a craft. Registration required.

Trash clean-up at Shannon Beach from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with Mystic river Watershed Association in honor of the 7th Annual Reverse Tashlich. "Reverse Tashlich is an innovative approach to Jewish environmental stewardship. In the ritual of Tashlich on Rosh HaShanah, we go to a body of water and symbolically cast our 'sins' into the water to begin the New Year with a clean heart. With Reverse Tashlich, we’re turning symbolism into action by removing human 'sin' from the water." Registration appreciated.
Plant ID and Natural History Walk from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m. with Jeff Adams and Friends of the Fells. Meet in the Bellevue Pond parking lot. Registration required.
Sound Bath with Hendrik from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Arts Collaborative Medford, presented by Down by Riverside. Bring a yoga mat or cushion. An introductory talk will be followed by the sound bath and then time for discussion.

Mystic Walkers at 11 a.m. at Hormel Stadium. All ages and abilities are welcome to join. The group will decide where the walk will go.
Kier Byrnes Freedom Runners at 11 a.m. starting at Medford Brewing. Choose from several different loops or create your own. All are welcome.

Medford Historical Society and Museum is open on Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. Current exhibit is, "1776 and beyond," but there are also many other resources to explore.
Mystic Music Festival from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Condon Shell with performances by: Junior Classics 1-2 p.m.; Spittin' Vinnies 2:15-3:30 p.m.; The Porter Squares 3:45-5 p.m. There will also be music, food, chair massage, face painting, and a beer garden.
