Okay, everybody. It’s Wednesday. Sandy says, let’s do this.

Temps should get above freezing today, and we should see some sun. But, it’s still a good time to check in on your neighbors who might not be able to get out and about.

Also, fill out the 2026 Annual City Street Listing/Census that you received in the mail so you'll be all set to vote in the mid-terms. Review the instructions on your form, sign it, and return it to the Election Commission by mail to 85 George P. Hassett Drive, Medford, MA 02155 or leave it in the blue drop box outside City Hall.

  • Affordable Housing Trust Board Meeting at 6 p.m. at City Hall or Zoom: Agenda includes NAACP Report on Racial Disparities in Home Lending.

  • Chris will have the scoop on a potential registration fee for owners of empty buildings, the latest on Medford Square rezoning, and Transom's potential development plan for downtown.
  • Medford volunteers assisted last week with the “Point in Time Count” to connect with people experiencing homelessness in Medford. Wendall will find out how the count went and if there has been an uptick in homelessness in the city.
  • Following the killing of two American citizens by federal agents in Minneapolis, activists called on businesses to close Friday, Jan. 30, in a general strike. We'll talk to Medford businesses that participated.
