Good morning, Medford, Thursday, October 29

Happy Thursday, everybody. We're talkin' snow. Not that it's coming tomorrow, but a specific issue around planning for it.

I know. I hate to even bring it up. But, landscapers are busy with fall cleanups right now, which means snow removal is right around the corner. And, snow removal was the topic of the recent Public Works and Facilities Committee meeting.

Specifically, they were debating whether the city should create a line item for setting funds aside for plowing private ways. And, there are a lot of private ways in Medford. It turns out, the issue is more complicated than it seems to be at first glance.

Keep your eyes peeled, because Crystal's story about that meeting will be dropping this morning.

Also dropping today will be a response to Micah Kesselman's presentation during public participation at a recent City Council meeting in which he clapped back at the mayor for comments she made about him and for filing a police report.

A quick reminder, and then we are on to all the happenings that are fit to post:

A Medford resident has some questions about Question 3:

OPINION: Question 3 - More competition, but fewer choices?
"A Libertarian, Green, or independent candidate could build substantial grassroots support, qualify for the primary ballot, and still be eliminated before November. Voters would lose the opportunity to consider those alternatives in the general election, when participation is typically highest."
