Even though the road races for Run Medford were canceled, the Kids Fun Runs went off as planned, just in a different venue. The runs were held in the High School Gym instead of at Hormel. Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn posted photos, including this one, to Facebook:
Dave McGillivray, who organizes Run Medford each year and founded the Dave McGillivray Finish Strong Foundation, canceled the Saturday road races because of the rain and wind that were predicted for the day. However, he said he will try to reschedule those races for some time this fall. Stay tuned on that.
There are two municipal meetings tonight, the School Committee and the Arts Council.
The School Committee meets at 6 p.m. in City Hall and via Zoom. Their agenda includes: approval of bills, payrolls, donations and meeting minutes; subcommittee reports; Mustang Moment; state accountability and academic testing results; replacement of natural gas-powered equipment; Student Advisory Council presentation.
The Arts Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. at Medford Public Library and via Google Meet. On their agenda are: updates on youth volunteers, the Logan tree project, and the UEP field project; a discussion of the grant cycle and the planning of the grantee reception event.

- Happening at the MFN Family Center are: Drop in playtimes from 10 to 11 a.m. and from 1:30 to 4 p.m.; Creative Coping for moms and moms-to-be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Drop-in programs today include Mindfulness Practice at 11 a.m., Notary Hours at 4 p.m., and MakerSpace from 6 to 8 p.m. All other programs require registration.
- Registration for the Magic show has already closed.
- "Death on Mount Washington" at 7 p.m. is a Zoom program held in collaboration with Ashland Public Library. Register to attend.
