Change of venue for Aug. 1 Democratic primary debates
The event will be in the auditorium at Somerville High School.
The location for the three debates taking place Saturday, Aug. 1, for open-seat Democratic primaries has been changed. The event will be at Somerville High School.
Saturday, August 1, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Somerville High School Auditorium at 81 Highland Ave., the Somerville Democratic City Committee will host debates with the candidates for the 27th and 34th Middlesex House districts and the 2nd Middlesex Senate district. Here is the schedule:
- 5 p.m.: 34th Middlesex, House: Will Mbah, Chris Oates, and Paul Ruseau
- 6 p.m.: 2nd Middlesex, Senate: Burhan Azeem, Christine Barber, Matthew McLaughlin, and Erika Uyterhoeven. (Thomas Hopcroft has withdrawn from the race.)
- 7 p.m.: 27th Middlesex, House: Ben Ewen-Campen and Olivia Gilligan-Corsetti
