It’s become an annual tradition for families in Medford. And this year was no different — just faster.
Put on by the Medford Recreation Department, the annual Egg Dash and Bunny Photo event took place on March 21 with families and kids of all ages gathering at Hormel Stadium to grab colorful plastic eggs filled with prizes.

While the dash normally consists of different age groups swooping up their prizes in staggered times, this year the kids couldn’t help themselves and it was all over in a flash. But it gave families the opportunity to partake of some other activities at the dash.

The Easter Bunny was on site, taking photos with those brave enough to venture over. Others took advantage of the free popcorn, which eventually ran out due to the high volume of residents attending.

And School Committee Vice Chair Jenny Graham was at the event, along with representatives of LeftField and SMMA, operations managers and architects of the new Medford High School building project. Residents took advantage of checking out a model and alternatives to what a new high school could look like and asked questions.

Overall, kids left happy with baskets full of goodies, and grownups went away with information and treats to tide them over on their Saturday.
