Where: 2501 Mystic Valley Parkway

When: Thursday July 3, 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Cost: Whatever you buy

More Info: Go shop, get dinner, get veggies, get bread, get soap or jewelry, there is something for everyone, including music. Listen to The Summer Street Stompers, a traditional jazz band, playing 3 pm. - 5 p.m., or come later and hear Three at Home, “a cocktail of harmony-driven rock infused with soulful energy and emotion,” play 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

What: The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular 

Where: DCR Hatch Shell on the Esplanade, 47 David G. Mugar Way, Boston

When: July 4, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

Cost: Free

More Info:  Medford doesn’t have fireworks on the Fourth but there is always Boston. Go early or at the last minute to experience the majestic display over the Charles. 

What: Sunday Run

Where: Medford Brewing Company, 30 Harvard Ave.

When: Sunday, July 6, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Cost: Free

Great American Beer Hall

What: Yappy Hour

Where: Great American Beer Hall, 142 Mystic Ave.

More Info: Yappy Hour will include pup cups and Lucky One sampling cocktails at one big dog party in the Beer Garden.

More Info: Get crafty. You will be listening to music while painting rocks for the Library's garden and flower pots for you to take home.
